Salvo is 35 years old and lives in the United States now for about 4 years. At first he was not very enthusiastic ... he missed his Palermo, but now appreciate more ù life to emigrate because is, for better or worse, life in the U.S. pays!

Salvo arrived the first time in the States as a visiting scholar at UCSD for playing a year of his PhD studies abroad Italian. After returning to Palermo, he completed his doctoral studies and has not received valid alternative in Italy ( ed. Not being a relative of any professor! ) has accepted the job of your UCSD. Except in San Diego worked for about three years and San Diego has also married (to his girlfriend Sicilian though!). Except now lives in Buffalo (New York State) where he recently moved to work as an Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo (UB). Life in Buffalo is very different from that which results in California and especially the winter weather with its snow which soon will know, is what most worries him, but at the same time think that ultimately, in life, is better to live away from their land and have a job for which you have made many sacrifices to enjoy the sun in Palermo, but without any hope for the future. Unless today is happy to live in the United States even though a love for his country, unfortunately, often thankless, never abandoned him ... like that in Italian for his favorite football team (the Palermo of course, of which abroad, has never lost a game even when the time zone made him some up early!) and the desire of all the oranges and specialty Palermo :)
